Men's Lacrosse 2026 Schedule Features Eight Home and Eight Road Contests

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Lacrosse is under two months away from action for the 2026 campaign. The front end of the schedule is heavily loaded with away game, but loops back to Varsity Field, playing eight of the final ten games at home. 

The Pirates are eager to tackle their second season in the SAA with opponents including Centre College, Sewanne Rhodes College, Hendrix College, Oglethorpe University, and Berry College. Head coach Bill Bowman has been at the helm since 2012, alongside assistant coach Mike Markland. James Burleson-Porras, Tyler Downing, and Ian Davies also serve pivotal roles on the coaching staff. 

Southwestern finished 2025 with 7-7 overall, beating Berry College in the SAA Tournament quarterfinals before falling to Rhodes College in the semifinals. The 2026 schedule features eight home games and eight away contests, along with six SAA regular season games. 

The Pirates play six straight away non-conference games across the country against University of Dubuque (Feb 13), Illinois Wesleyan University (Feb 15), Methodist University (Feb 27), Pfeiffer University (Mar 1), Kalamazoo College (Mar 6), and Albion College (Mar 8). The Pirates return home to conclude non-conference play against Muhlenberg College (Mar 11), The College of Wooster (Mar 17), UMass Boston (Mar 18), and Colorado College (Mar 29). 

SAA play kicks off as the Pirates host Centre (Mar 22), Sewanee (Mar 27), Oglethorpe (Apr 18), and Berry (Apr 25). The road conference games are at Rhodes (Apr 4) and Hendrix (Apr 11). For those counting, 2026 will feature away trips to Iowa, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
