GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Sophomore libero Izzy Rodriguez has been named the SAA Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after anchoring the Pirates' defense during an undefeated 3–0 week. Rodriguez totaled 64 digs, 12 assists, three service aces, and three kills from October 8–12, averaging an impressive 5.3 digs per set. Her standout performances also pushed her past the 400 career digs milestone. She recorded 30 digs in a five-set thriller against Texas Lutheran, added 14 against Sewanee, and closed the weekend with 20 digs in the Pirates' win over Centre. Rodriguez's steady passing and relentless defensive effort were key to the Pirates' perfect week.
