GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer took on the Occidental Tigers in an aggressive brawl on a windy Labor Day, where the Southwestern Pirates came out on top with a 1-0 win. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

• Sophomore Jackie Powell was the Pirate who put them on the board (20:35).

• Senior captain Lilly Van Meter had the throw in assist to Powell (20:35).

• Goalkeepers Erin York (2) and Caylin Damron (5) had a total of seven saves on the day.

GAME NOTES

• Captain Meredith Lannan took a kick to the face at (22:31) that resulted in a red card from Occidental College.

• Junior Kayla Moody prevented an open goal from midfield (49:57).  

• The Pirates out fouled the Tigers (11-6).
