GEORGETOWN, TEXAS -Â Southwestern Volleyball traveled to Belton, Texas on Friday to face off against the Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls and the Hendrix College Warriors, hosted by UMHB. The Pirates played ten total sets against the two teams, exchanging a loss against Hardin-Simmons with a 3-2 win against the Warriors.Â
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Outside Hitter Payton Shiflet went for eighteen kills against the Cowgirls, hitting .350 for the game

Claire Romo led both teams in assists for the match tallying thirty for the Pirates.

Geneva Nedrow led both squads in digs for the contest with twenty-eight.

The Cowgirls totaled nineteen service aces against Southwestern.

Southwestern out-hit the Cowgirls 56-49 for kills and were near even in blocks, 12-13.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

Freshman Outside-Hitter Kate Spinelli put up the most kills in the contest (14) and added nine digs to her stat line.

For the second game in a row, Nedrow had the highest number of digs for both team at twenty-seven.

Lily McWhorter and Carly Berkman were two other Pirates who collected double-digit kills for the match, eleven and twelve respectively.Â

The Warriors served eleven aces against the Pirates.Â

In a dominant second set, Southwestern hit .414 in 25-11 set victory.Â

To finish off the day, the Pirates held the Warriors to under ten points, taking a 15-9 win in the fifth set.Â
