Kerrville, Texas- In a must-win situation, the Pirates Men's Basketball team rose to the challenge for their away game at Stephens Family Arena versus Schreiner University. 

Down just 2 points at halftime, the Pirates needed a spark to get them going. Preston Hannah struggled in the first half with just 5 points and shot 1-4 for 3-pointers. He turned it on in the 2nd half, connecting on 3 more 3-pointers and helped Southwestern maintain a small lead towards the end of regulation. Both teams were statistically very similar across the board. The game was extremely close and competitive and with just 30 seconds left in regulation, Schreiner and the Pirates found themselves tied. With fouls to give, Schreiner was able to break up any plays and with five seconds left, Hannah put up a shot for the win that just missed. Both teams headed into a 5 mintue overtime. 

Brock Luechtefeld was huge for the Pirates nearly getting a double-double with 9 rebounds and 10 points. Preston Hannah was perfect in overtime adding 2 more three's to increase the lead. He finished overtime with 10 points making his total 28 for the night and the Pirates secured the win on the road 82-77.
