IRVING, Texas - Southwestern was unable to comeback from a 2-0 deficit as the University of Dallas won a crucial SCAC match-up Sunday 2-1. With the loss the Pirates fall to 2-7-3 in the SCAC, 4-9-3 overall, and drop to sixth place in the conference. 

Dallas scored in the eighth minute and added an insurance goal that proved to be the difference maker in the 58th minute. Southwestern attemped a comeback as Christian Lopez found Jake Swonke who netted it in the 60th minute and pulled SU within one. 

Ryan Benner recorded five saves on seven shots on goal in the loss. 

The Pirates return home for the final regular season contests, facing Texas Lutheran on Friday at 7 pm.
