GEORGETOWN, Texas - UC Santa Cruz snuck past the Pirates 2-1 as Southwestern fell in their final home match of 2016.

The Banana Slugs scored a goal in each half while Southwestern was only able to capitalize on one opportunity. 

Seven seniors, Michael Olivares, Mac Light, Rory McCullough, David Arellano, Nick Petterson, Jacob Buckley, and Austin Robinson, were honored before the game as they made their final home start. 

SU (8-11) heads to Sherman, Texas as the #4 seed in the SCAC Championship and will face the host institution, Austin College, on Friday at 11 am.
