Defense strong in 2-0 loss to #1 Trinity

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern men's soccer held the top team in the nation to their second lowest goal scoring total on Friday night, falling 2-0 to #1 Trinity.

Southwestern's offense was tough early on and had multiple goal scoring opportunities in the first half. SU's shots sailed just off frame, keeping the game scoreless until Trinity finally broke the seal in the 27th minute.

Ryan Benner was outstanding in goal, posting five saves and snatching multiple dangerous balls through the box.

Southwestern remains at home to close home SCAC action facing Schreiner on Sunday at noon.
