SEGUIN, Texas  – Southwestern opened SCAC action at Texas Lutheran Tuesday night and defeated the Bulldogs 2-0 to earn their first win of the season.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• First-year Jake Swonke put the Pirates on the board in the 13^th minute. David Arellano and Christian Lopez played the ball in front of goal and Swonke put it away from five yards out.
• In the second half Arellano and Swonke switched roles and Curran Daniel chipped in as the trio took advantage of a 3-on-1 in the 61^st minute as Arellano tapped the ball in from five yards out for the goal and 2-0 Southwestern lead.
• Southwestern outshot TLU 17-15 and had five more corners (6-1).

• Swonke: 1 goal, 1 assist, 3 shots, 2 shot on goal
• Arellano: 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 shot, 1 shot on goal
