Box Score RICHARDSON, Texas – Hardin-Simmons scored two goals in the first half and the Pirates scored one early in the second half before going cold to fall 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hardin-Simmons' Cole Johnson scored unassisted in the 12th minute and Beal added another in the 39th minute to send Southwestern into the break down 2-0.
- Less than five minutes into the second half Southwestern cut the deficit in half with a goal from Christian Lopez, assisted by Mason Tomasek.
- Southwestern wasn't able to score the equalizer despite 12 second half shots.
