Despite outhitting TLU in the game, Southwestern dropped their SCAC conference match-up 10-4 on Wednesday.

The teams picked up a game that was postponed due to weather in the fifth with the Pirates leading 2-0. Texas Lutheran used a steady stream of offense to take the win. TLU scored one in the fifth, two in the sixth, four in the seventh and three in the eighth.

Jared Bogosian led at the plate, going 2-3 with one RBI while Chase Allen, Ethan Luna and Austyn Laird all went 2-4.

Michael Platz suffered the loss, allowing three runs on two hits in .2 innings of work. Will Preston, who started the game on Saturday, allowed three runs on three hits in 5.2 innings.

Southwestern falls to 16-16 on the year and 6-6 in the SCAC while TLU improves to 13-2 in conference action and hold on to the top spot. SU returns home for a three-game home stand to close SCAC regular season action. They host Centenary College beginning on Saturday at 3 p.m.
