Two Southwestern University women's tennis players were selected as 2009 All-SCAC tennis team. Sophomore Kelly Finn and junior Mary Pennington both earned Honorable Mention honors in the exclusive voting by SCAC head coaches.

Finn (Wichita Falls, TX/Burkburnett HS) ended the year 5-9 overall this year playing in the first spot for Southwestern. Pennington (San Antonio, TX/Churchill HS), competed in the second slot for the Pirates and finished with a 7-7 record.

The duo also competed in the first flight of doubles for the 2009 season and ended with a 6-8 record.

The Pirate women's tennis team ended in seventh place at the 2009 SCAC Championships.
