KERRVILLE, Texas - The Southwestern women's golf team dominated the field at their Spring opener, seizing four of the top 10 spots at the Schreiner Invitational.

WOMEN’S GOLF CLOSES OUT FALL SEASON IN STYLE; CAPTURE FIRST BY 22 STROKES
SPRING BRANCH, Texas – The Southwestern University women’s golf team seems to have figured out the secret to success once again as they captured first place at the Alamo City Classic by a dominating 22 strokes. Senior Kristen Davenport and first-year Kelsey Coburn captured first and second place, respectively, and all Pirates finished in the top 20.

WOMEN'S GOLF CAPTURES FIRST BY 14 STROKES AT UTD INVITE
RICHARDSON, Texas - The Pirate women's golf team returned to their winning ways on Tuesday, dominating the final round at the UTD Lady Comet Invitational. Southwestern won by 14 strokes and every golfer finished in the top 15.

Golf World recently published its list of the top women’s golf teams in the nation and the Southwestern Pirates captured the fourth slot, mirroring their 2009 finish at the NCAA Championships.

It seems like the Pirate women’s golf team just returned from their fourth place finish at the NCAA Championship in mid-May and yet the highly successful program is already gearing up for a new season. Coach Ruyle enters his tenth season at the helm of the Pirate’s women’s golf team and returns three members of the SCAC Championship team.
