WINDCREST, Texas – The Southwestern University men's cross country team placed sixth overall at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational on Saturday morning at Windcrest Golf Club.
The Pirates had four runners cross the line in the top 50, led by Abraham Devenport, who finished the 8k course in a time of 29:23.
Lucas Ford finished the race with a time of 30:13, which was good for 35th place, while Gregory McDade placed 41st with a time of 31:33. Austin Morrison turned in a time of 31:45, which allowed him to finish in 43rd place.
Trinity won the team title with five runners finishing in the top 10. Trinity's Taylor Piske was the top individual finisher with a time of 25:57.
Southwestern will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the UIW Invitational at Live Oak Park.
