SCAC Announces 2013 Spring All-Sportsmanship Teams
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its fifth annual spring All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 39 student-athletes were selected to the 2013 squad in the sports of baseball, men’s golf, women’s golf, men's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, men’s track & field and women’s track & field. Fox named SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year
The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the major awards and All-SCAC teams on Wednesday and Southwestern sophomore attacker Austin Fox was named Newcomer-of-the-Year. Four Pirates earned First Team All-SCAC honors and four were Honorable Mention selections.

SCAC Announces Membership Additions for Men's Lacrosse
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has formally announced the addition of five men’s lacrosse-playing institutions from the USA South Athletic Conference. The five – Ferrum College, Greensboro College, Huntingdon College, Methodist University and Piedmont College – will begin play as affiliate members effective the 2013-14 academic year.
