LONG AND MOCK EARN ALL-SCAC HONORS
SUWANEE, Ga. - Midfielders first-year Jamie Long and junior Thomas Mock were named as members of the All-SCAC Second Team in exclusive voting by the league's head coaches.
Long (pictured, right), from Shreveport, LA, started 11 of the 12 games he appeared in this season. He was second on the team in goals with 14 and led the Pirates in points (27) and assists (13).
Mock (pictured, left), from Weatherford, TX, played in all 12 Pirate games this year and was third on the team in goals with 12, including the game winner in overtime against Hendrix earning Southwestern their first program win. Mock's 13 points on the season is third most among the team and he was 35-106 in faceoffs this year, spliting the majority of the duties with teammate Shane Carney.
Southwestern closed out their inaugural season at 1-11 on the year and 1-3 in SCAC conference action.
