PIRATES FALL IN HOME OPENER BUT PUT ON GREAT SHOW FOR INAUGURAL GAME
GEORGETOWN, Texas - The hill next to the lacrosse field at Southwestern University was abuzz as the Pirates hosted Trine for their first ever home contest. The historic game was entertaining for all but SU was unable to secure their first victory as they fell 19-6.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - Southwestern's lacrosse team closed out their first road trip at Dominican University, losing 14-5 on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates led early but a tough second quarter led to the loss.

WHITTIER, Calif. - The Pirates saw great improvement in their second game of the season as they faced NAIA school Grand Canyon University at neutral site Whittier College. SU fell 12-5 in the contest to move to 0-2 on the season.

SU LACROSSE HISTORIC INAUGURAL SEASON SET TO ROLL
GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern University men’s lacrosse Head Coach Joe Ernst announced his program opening 2010 schedule on Friday afternoon. The Pirates will play a 13 game season with three home dates. Highlighting the schedule is a program opening trip to California to play Whittier College, Grand Canyon University and Dominican University. Head Coach Joe Ernst, the Pirates men’s lacrosse program and the Southwestern University Athletic Department announced their inaugural recruiting class this afternoon. The Southwestern men’s lacrosse program made the jump to Varsity status for the 2010 season after participating as an MCLA club team for the past 25 years.
