Men's golf in 15th at Jekyll Island

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Two rounds are in the books at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, host to the top Division III teams in the nation, and the Southwestern men's golf team sits in 15th place. 

SU shot a 304 on day one to finish in 14th place and was led by Mathew Christl who posted a 72 to finish tied for 13th. The Pirates shaved five strokes off their opening round but dropped one spot to finish day two with a combined score of 603.

Emory leads the field with a team score of 582. 

Southwestern closes the invitational tomorrow and are just ten strokes out of a top ten finish.
