Golfers Nationally Ranked in Final Fall Poll

NORMAN, Okla. - The Southwestern men's and women's golf teams earned a spot in the final fall poll with their outstanding play thus far. The men are ranked 20th in the nation while the women are 12th.

Southwestern's men's team is the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference school to earn a spot in the GolfWorld/Nike Golf Division III Coaches Poll. Oglethorpe retains the top spot while UT Tyler and Mary Hardin-Baylor are the only other Texas schools, coming in at #5 and #21, respectively.

On the women's side, the Pirates sit at #12 in the Golf World/WGCA Coaches' Poll. Methodist holds on to the #1 spot. Texas is well represented on the women's side with Mary Hardin-Baylor (#5), Schreiner (#14), UT Tyler (#16), and Trinity (#23) all earning spots in the rankings as well.

The men and women both return to action in the middle of the spring semester. SU's women's team heads to Mary Hardin Baylor on Feberuary 25-26 while the men will compete at Texas Lutheran on March 11-12.
