RICHARDSON, Texas - In the final release of the year, sophomore Frederick Hoevr took home the ASC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after another outstanding performance, this time in a win over Texas Lutheran.
Hover passed for 302 yards and three touchdowns, going 10-of-16. He also carried the ball 30 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the Pirates' 51-33 victory at Texas Lutheran. It was an impressive day for the SU offense, racking up 501 yards of total offense behind Hover.
The Southwestern University football team used a huge second half and a pair of big turnovers that turned into points to roll past the Texas Lutheran in their season finale, 51-33, and finish third in the American Southwest Conference.
