Southwestern held a 27-26 lead before UMHB went on a 14-6 run to move ahead 40-33 just before the half. However, sophomore Luke Hicks connected on a three with three ticks left to cut the deficit ot 40-36 going into the break.

The run would turn into a 26-10 spurt as UMHB opened a 66-49 lead midway through the second half, taking full control of the game.

Despite the Pirates shooting 52% in the half, it was too much UMHB as they were a red hot 62% from the field in the second half while getting to the line 21 times, holding off any Southwestern rallies to earn the road win.
