SUWANEE, Ga. - Junior forward Jonathan Brown of the men's basketball team has been named as the SCAC Player-of-the-Week for his exceptional play against Hardin-Simmons University on Tuesday night.

Brown scored 26 points in the Pirates’ 75-72 win at Hardin-Simmons. He connected on 9-of-17 shots (.529) while adding 12 rebounds. Brown also sank 8-of-11 free throws and chipped in with four offensive rebounds as the Pirates improved to 3-1 on the season.

For the season, Brown is averaging 16 points per game, shooting .510 from the floor and averaging 6.5 rebounds a game.

The Pirates open SCAC action at Trinity on Thursday at 8:00 pm before hosting their first home game of the year on Sunday at 4:00 pm against the University of Dallas.
