65 FALL ATHLETES NAMED TO SCAC FALL ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announce its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll on Thursday for the 2010 fall term and 65 Southwestern student-athletes were recognized.

The Pirate women's soccer team led the way with 17 athletes on the list, but the women's cross country squad had over three-quarters of their team on the list (14 of 18).

The SCAC set a record this fall with 803 athletes total named in the report. Since its inception in the fall of 1997, 17,400 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference. To read the complete list, please click here.
